General terms & conditions

Valid as of May 21st, 2026
1. SCOPE
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply between Yazen Health AB, registered under number 559315-6234, Anckargripsgatan 3, 211 19 Malmö (“Yazen”), and you as a user (“User”, “you”) of the described service (“Service”). By downloading the Yazen App (“App”) and using the Service, you accept these Terms. These terms and conditions also apply to your visit to the website yazen.com (“Website”).
2. ABOUT THE SERVICE
Yazen is a Swedish company providing digital obesity and metabolic healthcare services designed to support long-term weight management and improved health outcomes. Yazen is a registered healthcare provider in Sweden and is subject to supervision by the Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO) and other applicable regulatory authorities.
The Service may include:
- medical evaluations and consultations,
- individualized treatment plans,
- behavioral and lifestyle support,
- support relating to nutrition, exercise, and mental wellbeing,
- educational content,
- health and progress monitoring,
- communication with healthcare professionals,
- and, where medically appropriate, prescription-based treatment.
Services are provided through Yazen’s digital platform, applications, and related communication channels.
The Service is intended to support users in achieving health and wellness goals but does not guarantee any specific medical outcome, weight-loss result, prescription, reimbursement outcome, or treatment result. All medical decisions are made independently by licensed healthcare professionals based on individual medical assessment and applicable clinical standards.
The Service is not intended for emergency healthcare or urgent medical situations. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, you must immediately contact emergency services or your local healthcare provider.
Yazen may determine that digital care is not appropriate for your medical needs or situation. In such cases, Yazen may decline, pause, or discontinue digital treatment and instead recommend in-person care or another suitable healthcare provider to ensure safe and appropriate care.
Establishment of Healthcare Relationship
A healthcare relationship between you and Yazen is established when you have identified yourself using the applicable identification procedure; and Yazen begins providing individualized medical assessment, treatment, or healthcare services based on your personal health information.
Prior to this point, your use of the Website or App may be limited to general information, onboarding, administrative processes, or commercial information that do not constitute healthcare services.
Treatment Process
Upon contacting Yazen, you may initially receive digital support and onboarding guidance. If deemed appropriate, a licensed healthcare professional will perform a medical assessment, which may include health questionnaires, laboratory tests, and consultations.
Yazen’s treatment journey may consist of different phases, including: Connect, Change, and Clarity. The content, duration, and scope of each phase may vary depending on your individual treatment plan and selected services.
3. REGISTRATION
To use the service, you must download the app, identify yourself using the applicable identification procedure, and create a user account upon first use, in which you store your personal details.
You must be at least 18 years old. The service may only be used by you.
4. MEDICAL RECORDS AND PATIENT JOURNALS
As a registered healthcare provider, Yazen is legally required to maintain medical records and patient journals relating to the healthcare services provided to you.
A patient journal is created once a healthcare relationship has been established and Yazen begins providing individualized medical assessment, treatment, or healthcare services based on your identified personal data and health information.
Medical records are processed and stored in accordance with applicable healthcare, patient data, confidentiality, and privacy legislation.
Under applicable healthcare legislation, Yazen may be legally obligated to retain patient journals and related medical documentation for at least ten (10) years from the date of the last journal entry, even if you terminate your membership, close your account, or request deletion of your personal data.
Requests for deletion of personal data will therefore be handled subject to Yazen’s legal obligations to retain healthcare documentation and patient records.
5. USER RESPONSIBILITY
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide to Yazen is accurate, complete, and up to date. Failure to provide accurate health information may affect Yazen’s ability to provide safe and appropriate healthcare services.
To ensure appropriate medical care and advice, you are required to provide truthful information about your health, illnesses, current complaints, and medications, just as you would during a regular doctor's visit. In order to be eligible for the Service, blood tests at Yazen's partner facilities are required.
In case of acute illness while under Yazen's care, you are obligated to contact another healthcare provider or the emergency services immediately. Yazen must be informed of the acute illness.
You are obligated to keep your personal and user-specific data confidential, such as your identity and password, and not to disclose it to unauthorized persons. You are responsible for all activities that occur through your user account. In case of suspected unauthorized access or misuse, you must immediately take measures to secure access to the service and inform Yazen without delay at support@yazen.se.
In addition to these Terms and any instructions on the website that Yazen publishes from time to time, all applicable laws, regulations, government decisions, and generally accepted ethical and moral principles must be observed. Using the service in a way that harms or impairs Yazen or third parties is prohibited.
6. UNAUTHORIZED USE
Use of the service must always comply with applicable law, these Terms, and any applicable guidelines and instructions. Recording or sharing video or consultation conversations with Yazen's medical professionals is prohibited, unless otherwise required by mandatory legal provisions. Yazen reserves the right to temporarily or permanently exclude users from the service if there is suspicion of misuse or violations of applicable law, these Terms, guidelines, or other instructions related to the use of the app, to the extent permitted by law.
In the event of unlawful or unauthorized use of the app or service, you are obligated to compensate Yazen for all resulting damages, including legal and court costs as well as claims by third parties.
A temporary or permanent suspension under these terms may result in the termination of your access to the service.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

You have the right to withdraw from your membership agreement within thirty (30) days from the conclusion of the agreement, provided that healthcare services have not yet begun to be provided at your request.
